What kind of stores are needed?

Pollen is their source of

• Protein
• Minerals
• Trace elements
• Fats

Nectar is their source of

• Carbs

Workers consume both pollen and nectar/honey everyday

A constant source of pollen is needed to feed the brood, so need to stockpile it.
It is also used to make royal jelly for the queen.

They need stores to see them through bad weather as well as winter.
